10 MOST PLAYED CHESS OPENINGS IN 2023 (December Final Showdown)

10 MOST PLAYED CHESS OPENINGS IN 2023 (December Final Showdown). As the year is a bout to finish, Women’s Grandmaster Dina Belenkaya breaks down the most played openings of the last year. In this video, you may find all the most famous chessplayers like Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura, Ben Finegold, GothamChess, Andrea Botez, Baadur Jobava. But! Be careful! This is not a guide on how better to play! This are the games played by ALL players online and offline from 400 to 4000 rated, whose games were registered in the base. Statistics shows that sometimes they make mistakes.

If you want to know what are the BEST openings that were played during this year 2023, do let me know in the comments down below and I’ll make a separate video for you!

Curious of what you think of this new format 🙂

  1. What openings did YOU play the most this year?!?

  2. This is a very weird joke, because bongcloud and grob are included, but the rest is somewhat normal stuff.

At my level (800-1200) most common are everything starting with e4 + London & Indian Game. These cover about 90% of my games, if not more.

  3. What is this Russian School of Chess I've heard so much about and will Dina reveal its secrets?

  4. Very interesting and entertaining

  5. It would be great having instructional videos of those openings, traps and where to be careful

  6. You talk too fast.
And then, I realized I had playback speed on 1.75X.
    LMAO.

Merry Christmas and happy new year.
