I'm using the jobova London opening and i always lose if they don't fall for the free rook on turn 5 trick ๐ my problem is i didn't understand the London i just liked that trap. I can always retreat back into the London if the trap fails lol i guess i should have learned the London b4 the jobava London lol my elo is 600 so yeah….

In this opening the control over e5, e4 Squares is important
Itโs so cool being able to finally have stockfish explain WHY some moves are brilliant or horrible, instead of just yelling at me all the time
The London is a great opening for average players to lower their Elo by a couple of hundred points.
I love the way you expkain this stuff. Very interesting and educational. Helped me a lot. And I think a big part of helping it stick is your delivery. Like 'put the pony here, then this, this, this and this, then gobble, gobble and you are in a much better position'.

H-bomb I thought you HATED the London…I figured that you would prefer the Colle-Zuckertort which seems like an upgraded London, yes? Anything you'd have to say about the Colle-Z would be mandatory viewing for all players.

For a moment i thought at 14:00 that line hangs a pawn because of dxc5 the bishop cannot take the pawn but i realized the bishops trade then the queen takes the pawn. This is probably why the knight goes to d7 and not c6 at 14:02.
Black almost always plays like this against London. I love it, free rating points

Iโve very new to chess, about 6 days into it lol. Iโm absolute trash, I am rated about 750 but this video helped slightly not much but it helped fixed a few of my misses and a blunder I was commonly facing.
After the knights are swapped out on E5 should you take with your D4 pawn?? Iโve just started playing again and about 5 years ago I was playing London and I think thatโs the line I remember. If anybody can answer I would really appreciate it
