In this video lesson, GM Igor Smirnov shares with you the top 3 chess opening traps to win quickly in Blitz and Bullet games. What’s really cool is that even top rated players are unaware of these traps and are likely to fall victim to these subtle traps.

Most chess players play the natural, seemingly good moves, and won’t be able to spot the hidden trap. And with such short time controls in Blitz and Bullet, it would be really difficult to play the best moves.

Additionally, even if your opponent doesn’t fall into these traps, your position won’t be damaged and you can still continue the game as usual.

  1. I'm not going to be attending any more chess invitational events given that the last one i was lured into apparently cost me enough money that I could have literally bought myself a brand new car and driven myself to where I arguably should have been anyway instead of left standing around freezing my ass off. My best move at this point is likely to just desist from playing chess entirely as it seems like this game is always a lose/lose proposition for me.

  2. Not very thorough analysis. White can just Castle. This trap will only work vs beginners.

  3. Bishop to b4 pin the Queen to the King and after Q×b4. Hahaha…
Triple fork (aka family fork) by ♞ ×c2 + and win the Queen and game…!!!

  4. what if, in first trap, the white castles after your Qh4 move?

  5. For the first variation, black "sacrifices" the bishop on B4. If white takes, knight gives check on C3 and you get the queen.

  6. yes but how about he castle except he pawn b6

  7. In the first trap, if white castles, in my amature opinion.. you are screwed (i am currently screwed)

  8. 11:12 According to Stockfish this move is a blunder, because white can give a check with the queen and win the bishop

  9. The first one was BS. If the King move diagonally right and the queen took the rook. It would swap queen for queen with king out the way.

  10. What will happen if white plays 0-0 after Qh4

  11. but what if they dont do the move you are guessing in this…ugh

  12. BB4 IF QUEEN TAKES THEN KNIGHT TAKES C2 FORKS QUEEN A KING

  13. White can easily won see the vedieo at 56 second if the white bishop attack the pawn near the bishop will check mate the king because the knight covered the bishop from king

  14. Bishop C4, an explosive move, X-raying the king and setting up a nice lil fork 😉

  15. Bishop B4 and fork with the knight

  16. Did I just hear Igor use the word, "dope"? 😂 How funny is that?

  17. What we will play if Kf2 is played by opponent @ 2:43
